AGENTPUNCH

Agentpunch is a heavy metal band from Osnabrück, Germany. It was founded in 2016 by Alexander Mohrlang (vocals), Roman Felde (guitar), Juri Felde (bass), and Tomasz Kosma (drums). While the musicians' stylistic roots are most closely rooted in classic metal, their music doesn't lend itself to easy categorization. Without losing their identity or character, they explore the history of rock and metal, always focusing on what they enjoy most at any given moment; whatever is relevant to them at that moment—whether that be punk, hard, or prog rock elements, or speed or trash metal nuances—is irrelevant. Agentpunch doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it doesn't simply replicate it either. Anyone expecting a particular stylistic obsession from this band will certainly be disappointed. On the other hand, anyone who appreciates good, fresh heavy metal and isn't afraid of the occasional surprise will come to love this band.
Agentpunch received a number of positive reviews for their debut album, "Investigation," released in June 2017 (see below). The follow-up, "Soothsayer," will be released on November 24, 2019. The release concert will take place on November 23.11.2019, XNUMX, at the Bastard Club Osnabrück.

Press reviews of “Investigation”:
"I mean listen to that catchy album opener and tell me that this band is not worthy of your attention. Lead vocalist Sanja sounds like the lovechild of Peter Wagner and Rock N' Rolf, giving you memorable vocals that lead up the Accept-like chorus that is “STRANGER DEMON." Drummer Tommi's tasteful drumming and Romka's thick and meaty guitar riffs sound so honed and crafted it's hard to believe this is the band's first album. Again if you listened to the album's first track and thought “Nah I don't see anything worth making a fuss,” then we just won't see eye to eye on many a metal discussion.” (www.metal-archives.com)
"...classic metal, somewhere between Priest, Saxon, and Motörhead." (Matthias Mader, Rock Hard)
“Heavy rock with plenty of balls.” (metal.de)
"They offer hard rock bordering on heavy metal, but without any old-school pandering. The songs are most comparable to bands like Motorjesus, Mustasch, and Fozzy. The majority of the material goes straight to your face..." (HeavyStageForce)
"A band that knows what they can get out of their instruments. The vocals are dirty, raw, and convincing. The band didn't reinvent the genre, but they implemented it in their own unique way..." (rock-feuer.de)
"The guys approach their work with astonishing coolness. They primarily draw on typical Teutonic metal, the pounding metal of Accept, but are also open to other influences. Their approach is authentic, handcrafted, and fundamentally honest." (metalglory.com)
