"Burning Up with Fever" is the ninth effort from the Berlin singer/songwriter and jack-of-all-trades. Marceese set out to record 12 KISS cover albums. And he's slowly improving his production skills, or at least he's no longer completely shying away. This time it's rockier, and somehow funky too – just listen to the title track, preferably in comparison to the original – and lo and behold. Marceese dismantles all the songs into their individual parts, thoroughly strips them, and repaints them. Piece by piece, the new parts are screwed together, and if some pieces are left over at the end... Well, who cares? The Berlin native certainly doesn't. The old and tried-and-true slogan applies here again: You don't have to be a KISS fan to like this album.
