They're back! GROOVE GROOVE GROOVE is the name of the game. The soulful, groovy saxophonist Katharina Maschmeyer and her longtime (musical) partner Nils Pollheide have been a perfectly in sync for years – the fame of their jointly led KaMa Quartet / Katharina Maschmeyer Quartet, which has thrilled audiences at festivals and major clubs alike in recent years, precedes them. They have repeatedly been hailed as among the "leading and most innovative ensembles on the local jazz scene."

The last album dedicated to John Coltrane was listed among the best albums of the year in the German newspaper "Die Zeit." Now the band returns with an exciting new lineup and devilishly groovy, crisp new compositions. Joining them are Dirk Schaadt on Hammond organ and, following the initial lineup of Marcus Möller, now Hardy Fischötter on drums (drummer for, among others, Susan Weinert, Gunter Hampel, Charlie Mariano, Henrik Freischlader, and Larry Carlton).
