Carole Martiné was born in Paris in 1983 and grew up in a German-French family. At the age of 5, she began learning the violin and would play it for 20 years, both in classical orchestras and for street music. At 16, her true musical dream came true: singing! She joined a vocal ensemble and discovered jazz! It was clear that THIS would be her instrument and her music. After graduating from high school, she studied musicology, took singing lessons at the Paris Conservatoire, and attended the Jazz à Tours Jazz Institute in France. Many collaborations emerged from this time, which have influenced her current music. In 2010, she was invited to Berlin to play at the "Music in the Houses of the City" festival. She discovered the capital and decided to move there. This opened a new chapter in her story and began writing her own songs. Many collaborations followed; she sang for theater productions, for film soundtracks, etc.
In 2015, she was offered a tenure to record her first album, and "Confidences" was released on the Osnabrück-based label Timezone in January 2016. Concerts, festivals, and radio broadcasts followed. The album received positive reviews, and Carole.M was even called a "local hero" by the radio station Funkhaus Europa in January 2016. Carole has been a mother for two years; she took a break from her artistic career during this time, but is now back with new ideas, new songs, and new sounds that she plans to present on an EP soon.
