On FELICIDAD, the six musicians from Cuba, Colombia, and Germany, led by singer Mayelis Guyat (including The Voice of Germany), ignite a veritable firework display of salsa, son cubano, bolero, and cha cha chá. The band skillfully combines rousing classics from the Cuban and international repertoire, as well as exciting original compositions, with plenty of positive energy. Modern, urban, and always danceable – a Caribbean feel and explosive salsa straight from the heart of Berlin.

The first single, "De Donde Es El Son" (release date: June 19, 2020), is an up-tempo Cuban son and tells the story of the age-old debate surrounding the origin of "son"—the Cuban style that forms the basis of salsa music. "Where did son originate?" is the question that has always fueled rivalry between the residents of Havana and those of Cuba's eastern provinces (Oriente). Equally passionate is the debate about where son is danced more effectively. A special guest on FELICIDAD is the Cuban rumba and folklore legend Juan "Chan" Campos Cárdenas (born 1939). The Havana-born singer is a co-founder of the group Yoruba Andabo, with whom he won the Premio Grammy Latino.
