Dagmar Wilgo is known as a recorder virtuoso. With her latest CD, the third in the trio "me, myself & i" on TIMEZONE RECORDS, she makes a strong statement for the music world. She surprises us once again with the futuristic music she coaxes from recorders. Her release concert is on May 07, 2022. For many, recorders represent a more or less traumatic childhood episode. For the musician, they are her life's work, to which she has dedicated herself body and soul. Always in search of unheard sounds. Confident and creative, Dagmar Wilgo explores all facets of the recorder. She was able to persuade seven renowned composers and companions to dedicate solo pieces to her project. The album combines these into a contemporary improvisational firework display – with exciting crossovers between genres and styles, analog and digital. Their recorders sound so confidently relevant and attuned to the 21st century. You can almost hear the recorders rejoicing at their liberation from their niche as unicorns in the music market.
