Die Biomechanik

Biomechanics -

This album takes you on a journey into the dark world of tormented souls. Behind each album lies a freely interpreted story of one or more figures from the past – famous writers, philosophers, artists, and free spirits – sensitive, perceptive, or fiery individuals who shared much of their feelings and inner lives with us. After thorough research, the musicians immerse themselves in these figures' thoughts and feelings, first creating artful lyrics that are then transformed into musical images through their setting. The listener is thus drawn into the narrative, carried away by the unity of story and music, and immersed in a world of emotions, threats, and tragic events.

Their studio produces stylistically diverse albums that primarily straddle the line between classic gothic, dark wave, brooding electro, and psychedelic music. The band places particular emphasis on handcrafted music played on atmospheric or effect-laden synthesizers, keyboards, electric guitars, and flutes, consciously produced without the use of samplers.

Anyone interested in art and culture, who enjoys simply sitting down to listen to a CD, who wants to open their mind and be guided by the music into another world, now has the opportunity to experience the complex narratives of the albums "Confessions (from the deep)," "1816 – a psychedelic dark wave opera," or "Love Madness Death." Close your eyes, let yourself be swept away, and awaken past figures to new life before your mind's eye. Then the past will reawaken, merge with the present, and make palpable all the pain and horror that are neither new nor old, yet imperishable throughout all time.
