GWENNYN

"Unforgettable encounters, breathtaking smiles, unexpected surprises, extraordinary stage outfits, and a Breton soul that, deep down, is interwoven with itself and forms a bridge between me, you, and the vast horizon." The new best-of album is a compilation of wonderful fan favorites, Gwennyn's own favorites, and previously unreleased songs – an album with 18 trilingual songs (Breton, French, and English) – presented by Coop-Breizh. The singer-songwriter chose "Bugale Belfast," winner of the People's Choice at the Nòs Ùr interceltic competition in Inverness, Scotland; "Deux Voiles blanches," written by Gerard Manset; "La Cavalière," written by harpist Cristine Merienne; and, of course, "Bravig," "Kan ar Bed," "Tristan et Yseult," and several more.

The first new single, "New Andro," is already playing on European radio, and the second track, "Océane," will be released soon. "Océance" is the French feminine word for sea. "I wrote this song with a sense of hope that today's world is changing and that the power of women will shape the future of our children. Océane speaks about rising sea levels and global warming. It's a woman's ability to make her voice heard, as women possess true energy and incredible sensitivity."
As a writer, composer, and performer, Gwennyn is an incomparable artist. She carries within her a creative, artistic, and universal fire, testament to an identity and cultural richness that she celebrates both in her albums and on stage. The press describes Gwennyn as "unique and universal." She is accompanied by exceptional musicians such as Patrice Marzin (Thiéfaine, Bashung, etc.), who plays guitar and serves as artistic director; David Pasquet on the bombarde; Kevin Camus on bagpipes, low whistles, and Irish flute; Many Leroy on bass; and Yvon Molard on drums and percussion.

A colorful, unique, constantly evolving force, a living legacy in itself, she is the symbol of a vibrant nation, a modern, vibrant nation, without borders. A return to the strength of a true performance artist, who has evolved over the years in awareness, her expressive voice. An extraordinary personality, a vibrant voice, and authentic emotions give Gwennyn's music something special—a pure and modern fusion of world music and Celtic electro-pop-rock.
