Life in your twenties is characterized by the search for and waiting for something you don't even know exactly what it actually is. Between endless boredom and oppressive stress, between youthful naivety and bitter seriousness, between bubbling euphoria and crushing disappointment, Jacob Fortyhands find a sound that combines all of this as if under a magnifying glass. Contained over eleven songs, "Caught up in Strange Ways" combines the multifaceted songwriting of singer Lukas Heitmann with dreamy guitars, hypnotic drum grooves, and harmoniously placed synthesizers. With the help of friend and producer Steffen Lütke, a work was created over the course of a year in the Fattoria Musica studios that is more mature, multifaceted, honest, and melancholic than Jacob Fortyhands' first EP, thus reflecting the musical, but often also personal, development of all five band members.
