Guitarist Jeff Aug will release his new solo album, "Interim," on February 6, 2026. It is his tenth acoustic instrumental album—eight solo works and two as part of the duo Floating Stone with Niko Lai (who passed away in 2018). All tracks were recorded during 2025. Some pieces have been performed live but never released, while others were created exclusively for the studio and will likely never be played live. Guest appearances include Jeff Aug's 15-year-old son, Oskar Tauber, who features on the track "New Day's Dawn," and renowned violin virtuoso Justin Ciuche (Rauhbein, In Extremo, Anne Clark), who lends his distinctive touch to the track "Serenade."
The album title "Interim" deliberately represents a transition: it marks the temporary end of Jeff Aug's solo instrumental guitar phase and, at the same time, the beginning of a new musical journey. The debut album of the Jeff Aug / Murat Parlak Quintet is scheduled to be recorded in February 2026. Following a sold-out European tour in July and September 2025 as guitarist for British icon Anne Clark, and a 40-city European tour supporting guitar legend Scott Henderson (March/April 2025), Jeff Aug will kick off 2026 with the album release. This will be followed by an extensive European tour supporting Chad Wackerman & The LA All-Stars, where he will showcase his acoustic instrumental fingerstyle guitar in approximately 30 concerts across 12 countries. Further concerts and festival appearances with Ape Shifter, Jeff Aug's instrumental rock band, are planned throughout the year.
