Marcel Bach (solo drums & solo handpan) studied music at the Enschede Conservatory and works as a lecturer at the Westphalian School of Music in Münster and as a private drum teacher. Through his virtuoso and artistic presentation of the drums as a versatile solo instrument, Marcel has made a name for himself in the drumming scene and has won the German Rock & Pop Award several times in the categories of 'best drummer' and 'best instrumental soloist'. Marcel has played many concerts, shared his philosophy and knowledge in numerous workshops, and has been booked for drum festivals and music fairs. Renowned drum companies including Gretsch and Paiste support his work as a musician. Marcel's solo albums, solo performances, and textbook publications have attracted worldwide attention from the specialist press, and he has received print interviews and many positive reviews. A scholarship from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and support from the handpan network "Handpanworld" gave him the opportunity to integrate the handpan into his teaching and solo concerts, creating a unique fusion of handpans, drums, loops, and samples.
