After Nadja Benaissa left the band after less than a year to make her comeback with "No Angels," MEDLZ had to search for a deep voice again. Following a successful search and another lineup change, MEDLZ's second album is now available, based on their current program, "(das) läuft bei uns." This album not only contains the remaining tracks from the current show, but also introduces new band member Juliane Köbe, whose spine-tingling timbre fits perfectly into the female quartet.
The MEDLZ remain true to their very own sound (voice-bass-beat) and develop their sound worlds vocally and technically brilliantly.
The musical range of the four singers continues to expand, and their joy in vocal experimentation knows virtually no bounds. An album that grooves, rocks, and moves.
From Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" to Dolly Parton's "Jolene", Linkin Park's "BREAKING THE HABIT", "(TheY long to be) close to you" by the Carpenters, PUR's "Neue Brücken" to the Saxon "PhanDoum dor Obor" - there is something for every taste. As a little extra, the charming quartet has also given their long-time and highly esteemed guest singer Maren Kips a place on this album. An album that definitely shouldn't be missing from any well-sorted playlist or record collection.
