Each stage becomes a Southern porch

Two voices, acoustic guitars, dobro and lap steel, plus a whole suitcase full Harmonicas: Michael van Merwyk and Gerd Gorke have both been in the business for over 40 years. acoustic music at home – together they make it, on the road under the pseudonym “The Delta” Boys”, every stage to a Southern porch.

“Front Porch Music” brings together 20 songs from their years together: from the country blues "29 Ways" to the tongue-in-cheek "Your Mind Is on Vacation" and "I Can See Clearly Now" to the gospel "I'll Fly Away" and the "Tennessee Waltz".

Both are winners of the German Blues Challenge; van Merwyk and his band Bluesoul achieved second place at the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis – the best result ever achieved by a European band there. Heartfelt, humorous, and far removed from all blues clichés: music for the soul.
