After the last album “Der Hase Leben”, which was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award and in which Michael Witte single-handedly set a glimpse into the inner soul to music, the focus is now again on the outside world. And he "throws his fuel on the fire," as the danceable opener "1-2-3-4" puts it. Vaccinated against internet trolls, "MitGefühl" is about neighbors who abuse children and stolen televisions, the magic of theater is invoked as eternal, and democracy is called upon to be a loud voice on the streets. For Witte, love is by no means blind, and he sings against the walls in ignorant minds.

Thematically and musically, he does what he's good at, with his usual variety, and is once again accompanied by a brilliantly supporting band. These old and new band members and dear friends (including Tommy Schneller, Dieter Kuhlmann, Jooles, and Hessam Rassouli) are, as "Dylan" says, the best, and he bows to them with gratitude.

Michael Witte has also fulfilled a big dream: "Raining on Sunday," one of his personal favorite songs, has been brilliantly translated by Witte. With the blessing of US songwriter Radney Foster, a newly arranged German-language album version has now been created, which is sure to provide Witte and his fans with a highlight of the album.
