Roland Jankowsky was born in Leverkusen in 1968 and initially performed in various off-stage theaters in Cologne and Leverkusen in the late XNUMXs and early XNUMXs. This was followed by engagements at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus, the Hamburg TiK, and the Grillo Theater in Essen. Since the mid-XNUMXs, Jankowsky has worked primarily for television.

In the comedy world, he played alongside Mariele Millowitsch and Walter Sittler for nine years in the award-winning hospital sitcom "Nikola." He also played roles in shows such as "Heinz Becker," "Dr. Psycho," "Die Familienanwältin," and "Wilden Hühner."

He has also appeared in crime series such as "Soko," "Balko," "Die Wache," and "Der Clown." Since 1997, Jankowsky has played the role of Inspector Overbeck alongside Chief Inspector Springer in the "Wilsberg Crime Series" on ZDF, which won the Bronze Award at the New York Film Festival in 2011.
