SEE-LAND aims to place the return of beauty at the forefront of music listening. It is based on an understanding of culture that is not sublime, but rather intended to enrich people by lifting them above their everyday monotony—in short: music that engages the listener. However, in order to become visible, beauty always requires disruption, be it lyrical or compositional. Thus, this music, with its substantial lyrics, is always characterized by an interplay between aesthetics and deconstruction, between uplifting depth and a formless attitude. SEE-LAND is a music project by Martin Deville. The music is brought to perfection by the wonderful voice of singer Esther-Marija Stemmer.
