SLOPPY JOE'S

When the live music world virtually came to a standstill during the pandemic, the rock band used the time to listen to their previous concert recordings. With foresight, the three Hamburg natives had two shows in their hometown professionally recorded: the release concert for their album Eight Reasons To Rock (2016) at the sold-out Knust and the show to celebrate the release of their longplayer Devil's Music (2019) at the Indra Musikclub. The best tracks from both concerts have now been compiled for the EP. In addition to "Devil's Music," the most-streamed track from the band's back catalog and now the opener of every Sloppy Joe's show, the tracklist includes "Right Decision," "Lonesome No.1," "Make Some Noise," and "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend." The live version of these five songs perfectly captures the atmosphere of a Sloppy Joe's concert: the gripping live sound as well as the interaction between band and audience are clearly palpable. This piece of (live) music is a contemporary document of the three rockaholics' joy of playing and live energy, captivating with rousing riffs, catchy hooks, and plenty of groove. Furthermore, the EP was produced in the highest audio resolution, giving you the feeling of being there live.
