The current solo album by Franconian guitarist and songwriter Steve Lauer was recorded and produced during this exact period. The former showcase guitarist at the Frankfurt Music Fair (for PRS Guitars, USA), who has shared the stage with musicians such as Randy Hansen, Kevin Coyne, Noel Redding, TM Stevens, Geoff Whitehorn, Jerry Donahue, and many others, has now presented an album with 11 original compositions. His unmistakable guitar style draws influences from Keith Richards (listen to "Hey Keef," for example), Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Status Quo, Ritchie Blackmore, Frank Gambale, and other guitar luminaries of the 70s and 80s. Grooving riffs, catchy melodies, profound lyrics, and sophisticated guitar solos are the common musical thread running through the entire album.
Steve Lauer's songs deal (not only) with current topics that affect people on a small and large scale.
Who doesn't know them, the tellers of rumors, spoiled heirs of their parents, stubborn narcissists and the unfortunately increasing intellectual impoverishment caused by, for example, media influences?
All songs for the 43-minute album were composed, recorded, and produced by Steve in exactly 13 weeks.
