STONE WATER play soul-infused rock 'n' roll, blending Southern and Americana influences with the sound of swinging London. Their music is characterized by plenty of "Mississippi mud" from old blues greats, paired with the energy and spirit of traditional '60s bands. Their debut album, "Make Me Try," mastered by Martin Meinschäfer, was nominated for the "German Record Critics' Award" and has received numerous reviews in specialist magazines and online portals, including from the USA, England, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.
"They sound like the Black Crowes, sometimes like the Stones or Americana bands. A truly great album in that style. […] I hope to announce more shows by this great band soon."

To record "Make Me Try," the band set up shop at Hamburg's Schalltona Studio and worked passionately. The result is an album with a refreshingly fresh and contemporary sound, whose distinct vintage vibes are a love letter to the late 1960s.
"This album takes me back to the late sixties when Classic Rock was at its prime. It has a vintage vibe but in doing so it is also has a contemporary feel to it, as the band draw from American Roots music, made famous by bands like Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more recently the Black Crowes."

The first tours were a resounding success and allowed the musicians to bond further. Last summer, the band played at several festivals and open-air events, gaining exposure to a larger audience. With the songs from their debut album in their repertoire, with their catchy riffs and jam sections, Stone Water quickly won the hearts of their audiences. Stone Water makes no secret of their musical roots. They draw from the same wellspring of American roots music that inspired their musical idols, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young's Crazy Horse, Tom Petty, and the Black Crowes, and carry this tradition into the here and now with their own interpretation.
