STRANGE ENOUGH

Strange enough was founded by Helmut Jäntschi (vocals) and Martin Marksteiner (keyboards, programming, songwriting) in 2017. Originally planned as a one-off concert project in Münster, the project never materialized. After quickly gathering song material, the duo performed for the first time at the Fledermaus in Vienna in 2018. Their initial success led to several concerts in the following years, interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. Since 2021, Strange enough has been supported by drummer Timo Kamryt. In 2024, their first EP, Stairs, with four tracks, was released on all streaming platforms. That same year, they also contributed a remix for Robota robotny (a side project of Seelennacht). A remix of their own song, "Only the Living," followed. Further performances are planned.

Musically, the band oscillates between synth pop, electro, disco, and punk. Martin was previously a keyboardist and songwriter for Passion Plastique (Hollow Fields), and Helmut was the singer of the even more well-known band Sharon Next (Der Hase), which at the time supported acts such as And One.
