THE U PRINCIPLE will transport you to a realm of thrilling passion and virtuoso playing. You'll lose yourself in the magic of the melodies, embedded in contrasting, hypnotic soundscapes and complex rhythmic interweaving. Our name is derived from Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle: Just as the smallest particles of our physical world cannot be determined in terms of momentum or position at the same time, you will not be able to define us musically, as there are no limits to our imagination here.

Our vision is to create new music for the alert, curious mind from the diverse musical roots of our band members - the retro prog of the 70s, the British heavy metal of the 80s, the minimalist avant-garde, jazz, world music, Zappaesque music and European art music from the Renaissance to Impressionism.
