HINWEISE UND TIPPS

Please upload your music, including all data, at least four weeks before the release date. There should also be a four-week gap between each release. Use only the "Create a Release" button to create a release. 

Release-Tab

  • The label name remains blank; it will be inserted upon review by the Timezone team

  • First Release Date: Your desired release date

  • Production owner and © Copyright: Enter band or artist name, no year!

  • Year of production: If possible, select the current year – the year is used for sorting, e.g. on Spotify.

    Releases with older dates are displayed further down on the artist profiles

  • Leave EAN blank, will be generated automatically

  • Leave catalog number blank 

Upload-Tab

  • Import method = select “Uploader”

  • Use the following file formats: WAV, FLAC or AIFF – no MP3s!

  • You link your audio files with the corresponding tracks in the last step “Confirmation” 

Tracks-Tab

  • If it is an EP or an album: Put all tracks on one volume

  • leave the “Publisher” field blank

  • Automatically generate ISRCs

  • If you would like an individual pre-listening start for e.g. TikTok or Instagram, enter “Start time Prelistening - applies

    for TikTok / INSTA“ an exact number of seconds; if not, 60 is the default value

  • If you want to provide lyrics, you must follow the Formatting guidelines hold

Release Date-Tab

  • “Select a release date”: Enter your desired release date

  • Add a pre-order date and do not select “Add an exclusive release date” 

Promotion-Tab

  • Please only enter information that you can provide securely (e.g. release description, Facebook address, artist homepage, etc.)

  • You can also leave the area completely free 

Bestätigungs-Tab

  • Confirmation: Check assignment of audio files to tracks, correct if necessary
