How did people live in earlier times with special behavior and characteristics?

VILNIR delves deeply into this theme and translates it into musical stories. The foundation is a Nordic musical style with fantasy elements, realized with instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, nyckelharpa, stringed instruments, and drums. Their concept album "ELVA" tells a tragic and mystical fairy tale from the far north. What makes this story unique is its exploration of autism, without explicitly mentioning it in the narrative or the songs. The story centers on a boy whose unusual behavior sets him apart from others, leading him to retreat into his own private world. An extraordinary friendship with a being named Elva leads to his growing eccentricity, and, as is often the case with typical Nordic tales, the story culminates in drama and death.
