Womuka is a moderately good abbreviation for "the living room musicians." Both are the band names that combine three funny guys, acoustic guitars, punk rock, and boomer humor.

Womuka make songwriting, like the Lumpenpack before they invented punk, or like Die Ärzte when they've forgotten their electric guitars. Originally from Münster, the band would like to be at home in (almost) every living room in Germany. Due to a lack of success, after a few years they resigned themselves to being a mediocre band and have felt quite comfortable in this role ever since. Ironically, this self-image has brought the three half-breed musicians an increasing number of festival appearances, pub gigs, and questionable after-show parties in forest lodges. No one has ever booked this band for their musical sophistication or jazzy guitar improvisations. But our friends say we have real hits, and our parents are embarrassed by some of our lyrics.
