With his album “25”, the versatile guitarist, composer and producer Adax Dörsam presents a fascinating musical journey through different cultures, landscapes and moods.
The focus is on the sounds of numerous extraordinary stringed instruments: from saz, baglama, and oud to mandolin, harp cittern, and lap steel, as well as classical, steel-string, and electric guitars. Dörsam combines virtuoso playing with great musical ease – the melody always takes center stage.
The 15 tracks take the listener on a journey from Mediterranean and Oriental soundscapes, through musical impressions of Bhutan, Egypt, and Armenia, all the way to the local Odenwald region. Alongside original compositions, the album also features two lovingly arranged Beatles classics: "When I'm Sixty-Four" and "Mother Nature's Son".
