Ausfahrt's music is rooted in Christina Zurhausen's own experiences and follows the aesthetic of grunge rock. The bandleader, who comes from the rough and tumble of the Ruhr region, composes the band's songs – songs that, despite their clear structure and melodies, are based on improvisation and characterized by catchiness. Zurhausen's music tells of worlds of love and conflict, with a penchant for philosophy, in an attempt to fathom what holds the world together at its core. Always with the Ruhr region in mind, the 90s he experienced and the 60s he loved. It's about deeper emotions, which are processed in an energetic way by the experienced musicians with a modern, rock attitude.
