Berthe writes acoustic pop songs on the guitar. The arrangement is stripped down to the essentials; the music reflects experiences, memories, and a healthy dose of melancholy. Above all, however, stands a great love of melody...
"For me, beautiful music—music that touches me deep within—often consists of very little: a special, simple melody or a single note in the right place. Finding this essence of beautiful music and expressing it with guitar and vocals has given me pleasure for as long as I can remember. And if I could succeed in preserving this original, deep feeling in the creation of songs and making it accessible to others, I would be closer to achieving my dreams."
Over time, Berthe has heard many songs emerge from her guitar. Some of them have now been reworked with vocal coach/singer Seda Devran and producer Pascal Thüring and given a new look at the Klanglounge Osnabrück.
Berthe's first solo album is called Spreading Peculiar Songs and will be released in November 2022.
