Berlin singer and lyricist Boris Steinberg, a chanson singer in the truest sense of the word, takes stock. On his "Best Of" album, Boris gathers the heart of his creative career to date. He began his career in the wild Berlin chanson scene after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and within a few years, he firmly established himself in the so-called "New Berlin Chanson Scene," ranking himself among the new chanson interpreters alongside Tim Fischer, Cora Frost, Tanja Ries, and Georgette Dee.
This "Best Of" brings together chansons and songs from 25 years! Poetically clear mood pictures and sensitive inner perspectives, as well as charismatic pop ballads, some in new arrangements or with delicate guitar tones, accompanied by his longtime musical companion Tobias Schmidt.
Songs such as “Unter meiner Haut” (Under My Skin) and Fallschirmspringer (Fallschirmspringer), which also made their way onto the radio and were placed in the SWR song best list, can be heard, as can the musical setting of a poem, “Spiegelleben” (Mirror Life), by the poet and writer Mario Wirz, who died in 2013.
