Radio plays from the world of professional music, presented by Christian Bleiming and Helmut Hoffmann
The life of a professional musician presents many challenges. Mastering your instrument and repertoire, being on stage on time, and arriving in the studio on time – these aren't the things we're talking about here. Those who love what they do are good at all of these things anyway.
Things get interesting when boogie woogie delves into the world of event gastronomy, modern sound technology, concert critics, private parties, poster distribution, hotel catering, and the recently so-called "facility management." Of course, everything has to run smoothly here, because everything else needs to be well organized. Whether on the phone or in person, the representatives of this specialized performance logistics seem to call out to our hero in a competent and friendly manner: "Mr. Brauninger – we've been waiting for you!"
The frontal battle during the drinking pub performance opens our little journey through the microcosm of show business, but before the dream of attention and success becomes tangible at the end, Mr. Brauninger has to go through his experiences.
My special thanks go to Helmut Hoffmann, who has been captivating audiences for decades as Hans-Hermann Thielke on stage, on radio, on television, and online. He contributed three texts, can be heard in several roles, and demonstrated to me on many occasions that humor rarely works without the necessary seriousness in the background.
