Christian Falk's third EP, "Mauern," combines the melancholy of the German-language singer-songwriter genre with rock elements. Cello and drums come together in songs that speak of world-weariness, utopia, freedom, and love. Christian Falk, 28, grew up in rural Lower Saxony. Chicken farming, nuclear power, and conservative one-party politics led him to flee to Bremen in 2008. To process his experiences, Christian made music and studied industrial engineering on the side, hoping the young man would become something of himself. Outside of lectures, he found time to collaborate with various Bremen musicians. On the "Mauern Tour 2016," he performed rock-oriented songs with a band, and then played more quietly with his cellist.
