Now the time has come: "60 years on earth" and of those "56 years with guitar". When I decided to produce another solo album after my last solo album "I rock" (2013), I didn't have to think long to come to the conclusion that this time I would pay even less, or almost no, consideration to the tastes of any "format apostles" in the media and would instead present as intensively as possible the music that defines me. Since I finished the production a few months ago and can now listen quite naively and with the necessary distance, I have to say that I have achieved my goal of sounding absolutely authentic. You can certainly hear that the album wasn't produced in the 50s, but it still has these vibrations and sounds that can definitely be described as "timeless". Often melancholic, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, symphonic and sometimes surprising, but despite my delicate prog leanings, I always remain melodic and believe I have indulged my penchant for catchy tunes and unusual guitar figures far removed from boring Vivaldi copies. So, over the past five years, I have composed, written, played, recorded, mixed, and mastered 16 tracks with a total length of almost 77 minutes. Fine-tuning the details took months, but it was worth it, not least because, although I recorded all the background vocals, I left the lead vocals to the best voices I could get. The album "The World Anthem" is a self-contained sci-fi end-time story, the content of which is intended to be a warning and a thought-provoking provocation through the songs in the order on the CD. The end of the story is depicted on the CD cover: We see Earth from the eyes of an observer on an alien planet, seemingly close at hand. We'll discover why this is so if we listen carefully to the CD. I wish everyone much joy and many different positive experiences while listening to my anniversary album for my 60th birthday: "The World Anthem."
