Münster-based Decaying Days have been active in their current lineup since 2015 and are releasing their second full-length album, "The Unknown Beyond." Originally driven by the melancholy and melodicism of Finnish death/doom, their songwriting has become more nuanced in recent years.
More complex arrangements and harmonies combine with elegiac lead guitars and versatile vocals, ranging from deep growls to multi-part clean vocals. "The Unknown Beyond" carries its atmospheric aura in its name—the unknown future, the unpredictability of life, for which each person will find their own personal interpretation.
