Dietrich Kittner - Rundschlag (Die EU-Politiker befürchten: Satire kann tödlich sein) (DVD)
Here's the proof: laughter and horror in a double pack. More than the usual stereotypical recording of a cabaret show, by the way. Rather, an explosive mix of live atmosphere, sophisticated blue-box studio technology, and outdoor recordings. With the fury and verve of a young wild man, the old master demonstrates in exemplary fashion what satire can do. Timelessly relevant, because Namen proves in Kittner's "Rondo konfuso" that a longer working life does indeed create new jobs, or rather, smugly practices it; no eye remains dry.
