German guitarist and producer Eddie Nuenning celebrates the 5th anniversary of his audiophile label “soundresort” in 2017 with two new productions. "The Soundresort Recordings" is an EP of archival recordings from 2010 featuring singer Filipina Henoch, winner of the German "Bundeswettbewerb Gesang" (Federal Singing Competition), on which she is accompanied by Eddie on guitar on five tracks. The highly personal interpretations of well-known songs – from John Denver's "Leaving on a Jetplane" to Bobby Hebb's "Sunny" – convey the essence of each piece through their individual, stripped-down arrangements, offering a glimpse into the soul of the pieces and the performers.
