AD as in After Dark? Out of Service? In the year of our Lord? Or as a playful reference to terms like "additive", "Aid" or "eight"? Much of this seems to be reflected in Finn Ritter's eighth studio album, which musically follows its predecessor "DA" from 2023 and lyrically tells a kind of prequel story to it. As always with Ritter, the Beatles are among the musical influences; lyrically, however, the Hamburg-based singer-songwriter has long since arrived in his own world. And with this album, he adds new territory to it.
