The music of Munich-based trumpeter Florian Brandl is intense, fresh, and energetic. Inspirations from hard bop, mainstream, and modern jazz flow into a distinctive band sound that emphasizes the interaction between the enthusiastic musicians. Following his CD debut, "Rejuvenation" (2015, Timezone label), his second recording, "Dresden" (also Timezone), will be released on Friday, June 7.6.2019, XNUMX: a homage to a two-year stay in the beautiful city on the Elbe.
As the culmination of their master's studies at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music, the Munich-based Florian Brandl Quartet came to Dresden on May 17.5.2018, XNUMX, to the Jazzclub Tonne for their final concert and the following day the present CD was created in the Ballroom Studios in Dresden, including video recordings (see homepage).
