Six musicians skillfully pave their way through folk music. From soulfully interpreted German songs and ballads to French musette waltzes and Breton dances, to virtuosically played jigs and reels. They continue with jazzy tango interpretations and musical excursions to Israel and the Balkans. Glin Amar also combines well-known film music with English songs and original compositions.
And their instrumentation and singing are just as diverse as their repertoire. With violin, flute, guitars, saxophone, and diatonic accordion, as well as zither, mandolin, percussion, bass, and catchy solo or choral vocals, Glin Amar showcases their full musicality and knows how to give each piece its own unique style—the Glin Amar style.
