Singer and songwriter Daniel Green from Schleswig-Holstein presents new music in 2023 on his Hotel California album "Family," which will be released on April 7, 2023. Musically, the family affairs set to music, as on previous albums (Orange and Vanish Like A Cloud In Sunlight), are situated in the folk music/Americana genre. With polyphonic English pieces and diverse song structures, Daniel Green entangles his listeners in his world, which seems strangely familiar—familiar, in fact.
The ten folk songs were created in collaboration with friend and companion Carl Albrecht from Hamburg. Twenty years ago, the two performed together on European tours and the Vans Warped Tour in the USA, and they have been working together again since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. This renewed friendship has significantly inspired the creation of the songs. Carl is responsible for drums, solos, and production; Daniel composes, sings, and plays all instruments.
