After Iggi, a former techno DJ and producer, joined the stoner rock band LINIE as a keyboardist and noise maker, he rediscovered his passion for a guitar-heavy sound. After the band disbanded, he went back to his basement and simply did his own thing.
Snotty guitars, technoid sound escapades, and German lyrics cut from the dark heart of the present shape the sound of Iggiland's second studio album. You won't find any good humor here. Instead, it paints a gruesome picture of everyday life, penetrating the areas of life commonly referred to as normal. One senses the musical affinity to 2s punk and OI, with a touch of dark and new wave. Dark and angry, the album marches forward, leaving little untouched.
They deliberately avoided features and name-dropping because it's just getting annoying these days. Genre boundaries blur, and one gets the impression that Iggiland just does what they like. Dirty riffs, electronic sounds far from kitsch, crisp drums, driving bass, paired with angry and complex German lyrics.
This album takes off your rose-colored glasses and takes you into the world of shadows.
A tour is already being planned, if anything can be planned at the moment.
