Naked is Isgaard's fifth studio album to date. The singer and her longtime producer and collaborator Jens Lueck continue their consistent path, combining diverse musical styles into an emotional soundscape that consistently focuses on Isgaard's charismatic voice. Delicate piano passages alternate with pulsating beats, electronic and acoustic sounds sometimes form counterpoints, sometimes blending together to create a unique soundscape. Isgaard's voice guides the listener, tells stories, and flies through a variety of timbres from low to high. The album's content spans a spectrum from highly topical issues (a critical examination of the financial world and consumer society) to deeply personal and introverted lyrics.
