Lichterkette is Jan.Solo's first EP. Inspired by his young daughter, the four tracks "Blau," "Götterfunken," "Ein Augenblick," and "Wunderbar" tell stories about recognizing the little things as something truly special. About not losing hope in these wild and turbulent times that we can learn, grow, and seize the opportunity to do everything right for once.
At a time when hate speech, homophobia, sexism, and even anti-Semitism have found their way into the music world, Lichterkette represents a counter-proposal. Each individual track represents a tiny, warm light, from which Lichterkette emerges. Music influenced by the overwhelming feeling of being a father and speaks of the possibility of taking on responsibility and of looking to the future with a smile, no matter how bleak it may seem. The lyrics of Lichterkette are manuscripts of brief glimpses of happiness, born from the idea that longing can give wings and allow dreamers to be visionaries. Music that is poetic, warm, powerful, yet equally fragile and, above all, one thing: confident.
