Jeff Aug - Interim (CD)
The guitarist Jeff Aug will release his new solo album on February 6, 2026 "Interim"It is his tenth acoustic instrumental album – eight of them solo works, two as a duo. Floating Stone with Niko Lai (†2018).
The recordings were made in 2025. Some tracks had already been performed live, while others were composed exclusively for the studio. Guests include Aug's son Oskar Tauber on "New Day's Dawn" and violin virtuoso Justin Ciuche (of In Extremo, among others) on "Serenade".
The title "Interim" represents a turning point: The album marks the provisional end of Jeff Aug's instrumental guitar phase and the beginning of new projects. Recording of the debut album by the Jeff Aug / Murat Parlak Quintet is planned for February 2026.
After a sold-out European tour with Anne clark (2025) and a support tour for Scott Henderson August 2026 kicks off a new chapter with "Interim". This will be followed by a European tour supporting **Chad Wackerman & The LA All-Stars. More concerts with his instrumental rock band Ape Shifter are planned.
About Jeff Aug
Jeff Aug is an internationally renowned guitarist from Washington, D.C. Since 2002, he has worked with Anne Clark and is also the frontman of Ape Shifter. He has toured with artists such as Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, and Soft Machine, and is featured on the album by Atari Teenage Riot to listen.
He holds a Guinness™ World Record for the most concerts in different countries within 24 hours, has published two children's books, and achieved a #1 album on the US iTunes Acoustic Charts. He also leads the acoustic country-blues combo Dead Tuna.
