True to the motto Pippi Longstocking once sang, "ICH MACH MIR DIE WELT" (I'LL MAKE THE WORLD... as I like it), JOHN LIEDERMANN now releases his third studio album. "ICH MACH MIR DIE WELT" features 13 tracks that truly live up to the album's title. At times, the guitars roar in a metal style, while the drums and bass guitar pound around your ears, then the brass instruments are skillfully showcased, and suddenly the sound shifts to reggae. All of this, however, with a generous dose of harmony, a touch of sarcasm, and occasionally a touch of seriousness. This album offers a lot – except boredom.
"After my debut album (John Liedermann/2020), which was largely produced for me, I wanted to be more involved. I was able to collaborate more on the second album (Die Neue Deutsche Schwelle/2021). I produced everything on that album—that was my biggest motivation for the third one."
John Liedermann has already received five awards from the German Pop Foundation (including "Best Pop Album" and "Best Pop Song"). "That's a huge motivation to keep producing new stuff."
Following the last concept EP (Trüb/2022) with its rather dark sound and serious themes, there's now new, more colorful material. It includes the previously released songs "GUTE LAUNE" and "KOKOSNUSSHALLIGALLI." Also included is the third single, "VORBEI."
