With these northern lights, the melodies are catchy, the lyrics stick in your head, and the recognizability is always there – but beyond that, the Kerleklangkosmos is as diverse as a colorful bag of fruit gums. There's grooving, pop, punk, and even some hearty cheesiness:
Heartbreaking emotional cinema and vivid poetry alternate with grotesque everyday observations and deliberately naive cynicism - and when the DeLorean comes into play, it sometimes even becomes absurd, but still always catchy.
The cabaret art is no less a part of the program than the great stadium ballad, the hearty beer tent tune and the half-time anthem, and even a few neck muscle stimulators round out the open sound square.
After several notable successes with their first tour and their debut album "Gefundenes Fressen" (Feast for the Soul), featuring songs about the possible consequences of alcohol consumption, homesickness, and parenthood, Kerle Fornia, featuring singer Daniel Hohorst and drummer Dennis Bokelmann, upgraded from a duo to a quartet with the addition of bassist "Jammin'" Sam Rockalot and pianist Tjard Cassens. Their second album presents themselves as even more palatable and diverse than the aforementioned colorful bag of fruit gums—which, however, doesn't begin to explain the title, "Is this the way to Colorado?"
