A concept that alternately showcases different facets of the color black. Their original compositions are characterized by their free spirit. The songwriting is more varied and mature, the lyrics more intense and profound. The band's greatest strength is their extremely elegant way of transcending genre boundaries as if they didn't exist. Authenticity is maintained at all times. "Dresscode: Black" will therefore find fans among darkly romantic goths as well as metalheads, rockers, and lovers of dark-tinged singer-songwriter sounds. The convincing, confident songwriting is no coincidence: it's the result of years of experience and hard work. Singer and band founder Giu Mastrogiacomo has been very active in the European goth rock and metal scene since 1997 (then under the name Aka Profound) and has a great flair for dark and emotionally charged music and lyrics. The southern Italian skillfully utilizes his linguistic diversity. In addition to English, personal experiences are recounted in French and Italian. Kissin' Black is also a success story from the City of Lights, built on a long-standing friendship. Guitarist and co-founder Andy Dormann is Mastrogiacomo's extended musical arm, and drummer Marcel Spiga has accompanied him for 20 years. Produced by G. Mastrogiacomo & Rob Viso in Lucerne (among others Rival Kings and Philipp Fankhauser) and mastered by Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost) & Benjamin Lawrenz in Hamburg.
