The stream flows on. On the new album, the trio Malstrom now features pianist Florian Weber. After Malstrom won the European Burghausen Jazz Prize in 2015, a spontaneous collaboration between the trio and Florian Weber arose during the award-winners' concert at the Burghausen Jazz Week. This worked so well that the idea for a joint album was born, which has now been realized. The band remains true to its principles on this album as well: complex compositions in the guise of improvisational philosophy with influences from rock, jazz, and free improvisation. Or as the international jazz festival Greiz describes it: “A musical powerhouse from Germany – with a magnificent beard.” And on this album, also with a piano.
