"Rocket Ride" is the latest offering from Berlin-based guitarist and singer Marceese, who has been making music for 30 years. To be precise, it's his eighth (!) of 12 KISS tribute albums and his second this year.
Compared to its predecessor, "Rocket Ride" is significantly heartier and heavier, which might appeal to the keen KISS listener. Even though the original works have been thoroughly shredded and reassembled at will, the songwriting talent of the masked hard rock clowns survives. Psychedelic influences, bluesy tones, folky arrangements – all components we'd expect from the Berlin native – but not from the originals. Check it out, ya!
