The Dark Summer is the new EP by Marcel Bach – a percussive and atmospheric sonic journey about loss, letting go, and the path back to oneself. Played on a PANArt Hang Integral. Five free improvisations create musical spaces that invite contemplation. Few instruments embody resonance and connection as directly as the PANArt Hang. All the more remarkable, then, that it is also at the center of an ongoing legal dispute with entrenched positions. On The Dark Summer, this instrument symbolizes the felt inner heaviness that arises when human needs for resonance, understanding, and inner support remain unmet. Each improvisation was created in the moment, as a direct expression of what words cannot describe.
