Something was brewing. BrutaliN is the name of the soup, and it's served up with a heavy ladle. A riff-driven mix of thrash, hardcore, and metal with German lyrics. Always in your face, always honest, and often with a wink and a dash of Äppler (a kind of apple cider). Founded in Frankfurt am Main at the end of 2012, Mein Kopf ist ein brutaler Ort gave their first sign of life in March 2013 with the EP "Neue Deutsche Schelle." The press called it "...a broad, blood-thirsty tackle and a subtle slap in the face for the often pathetic, but bloodless, Deutschrockhärtnerkapelle" (the-pit.de). After a turbulent 2014 with lineup changes on drums and guitar, work on their first LP began in March 2015. BrutaliN clearly shows the guys' early musical upbringing.
They wear Schweisser, Lamb of God, and Pantera shirts, and in worn jeans, they blast their very own blend of the two. Songs like "Zahltag," "Ich reue nichts," and "Kopflast" (Headload) will give you a real kick, the way only Heinz Schenk in his blue jacket used to.
