With his new album "Der Teufel nimmt nur Bares," Micha Schlüter delves into diverse soundscapes, blending elements from various genres. Garage-punk folk songs meet dark piano bar music.
Trashy percussion, banjo, electric guitars with tremolo effects and reverb, accordion, xylophone, and raw, expressive lyrics create a rich atmosphere and a captivating arc of tension. An edgy sound that oscillates between desert and road, vintage and zeitgeist, pub and fairground.
Micha Schlüter learned his craft at the State University of Music in Trossingen, where he studied classical guitar. He performs live in various formations, including as a one-man band and in a duo with theater actor and musician Christian Wolfgang Steiner, as well as with singer-songwriter Florijan van der Holz.
In 2012 he founded the Feierabendkollektiv with his friend, musician Max Francois,
which is particularly popular at the annual "Vive la Vie Festival" in Stuttgart.
In addition to songwriting, he is also the frontman of the band "bellalebwohl." (Radio Stuttgart, EP, 2020, Timezone Records)
In recent years, Micha Schlüter has released an EP and, with "Der Teufel nimmt nur Bares," his fourth studio album. His albums have received high praise from the press and have made it onto numerous radio programs and song charts. In 2020, he was nominated for the Förderpreis (promotion award).
Micha Schlüter has been with the label Timezone Records since 2012.
